This logo was designed by Lloyd Milby, a founder of NABA and the artwork was done by Peter Hirt.

The pattern was inspired by common themes in the Native American culture. The circular icon represents Mother Earth, and the repetitive pattern represents the four directions. The rest of the symbol is combined with patterns and different forms which are inspired by the rich Native American clothing and different religions icons that are present throughout their culture.
